Remove complexities and redundancies for administrators
The following is a brief overview with respect to confidentiality.
SAP Concur lacks comprehensive policy guidance within our product today, resulting in our end users having to reference to their company’s policies and come back in to our software, resulting in a lot of recall rather than recognition. SAP Concur also flags policies on the expense report, however, the money has already been spent and is already too late to inform about policies. There was a major gap in policy guidance but a great opportunity for us to improve not only our end users but also our administrators’ experiences.
My role as the product designer was to design an experience that will streamline the administrators’ experiences in informing their employees about company policies within SAP Concur at earlier stages of their employees workflows. Collaborating closely with end users, product managers, and engineering teams, we developed an AI-powered solution that leverages a company’s existing policy documents to help administrators configure policies efficiently. Additionally, the employee's experience with accessing policies is both seamless and informative.
Furthermore, I worked closely with the design system team and designers across multiple products to ensure the pages were utilizing existing components and using the new SAP Fiori design components. Many of the admin pages are still using legacy components and would have been the easier route but I had advocated the push towards aligning with the global SAP design guidelines.
